FAQ's About Physiotherapy

What is Physiotherapy ?

Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy, is a treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness.

Physiotherapists use evidence-based practice to help diagnose and assess injuries and can help guide you to an appropriate treatment plan to help you return to your optimal level of function and reduce the risk of reinjury. By using evidence-based practice we are ensuring that the techniques and assessments used are effective and beneficial in helping the presenting concern.

What type of treatments do you do?

Physiotherapists use a range of treatment techniques to help with your pain and concerns. We often use a combination of:

  • Soft tissue release: Massage, trigger points and dry needling are all different ways to help release muscle tension.
  • Exercises, we will prescribe different exercises to target your specific concern.
  • Stretching, stretching helps maintain muscle length, if your muscle tightness appears to be contributing to your concern stretches will be prescribed.

How many times do I need to visit Physiotherapist?

There is no pre-determined number of sessions for a specific condition as it totally depends on the patient’s condition. Physiotherapist will help in outlining a specific treatment plan after patient assessment.

Gradually session frequency will be reduced as patient condition improves. We provide tools and suggest exercises which they can easily do at homes so they don't feel like they dependent on us.

What is the duration of each session?

Usually, the session is for 30-45 minutes, however, the session duration can be increased up to 1 hour or 90 minutes in case the treatment is needed for longer durations. The session duration is generally increased in a few cases where a patient is having severe/multiple issues. We set the session duration once the assessment of the patient is done. For 30-45 min sessions standard charges are applicable while for longer duration sessions, charges will be higher.

What are the charges for Physiotherapy ?

Our aim is to make the treatment pocket friendly. However, charges vary from patient to patient. Home physiotherapy charges are slightly higher than the clinic rates. For long-term cases, we provides concessional package prices. You can call us at +91-8875828200 to know more about charges.
